Current Telecommunications issues matrix

The current telecommunications issues matrixes were developed by DTAN through the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy (DBCDE)’s Consumer Representation Grants. Templates of the matrix were sent to most Peak Disability Organisations and complete matrixes by each participating Disability Organisations are available for download below.

The matrix has been broken down into the areas of:

  • Fixed Line Telephony
  • The Internet
  • Mobile Telephony
  • Other issues

Each area shows detail of each current issue pertaining to participating Disability Organisations with information on:

  • Action to date
  • Suggested solutions
  • Further reference

It is hoped that these matrixes would assist the telecommunications industry, Government and regulators to see what specific issues there are for consumers with a disability so that these issues can be addressed with view to resolving them.

Please contact the participating Peak Disability Organisations if you are interested in working with them on any of the current telecommunications issues outlined in these matrixes. Contact details for each organisation are available on each matrix.

For further information, please contact David Parker on david.parker@deafau.org.au
