Deaf Australia Sub-committees

The Board of Deaf Australia has set up sub-committees to focus on specific issues of interest to the Deaf community. Sub-committees monitor specific issues on an on-going basis and provide advice and assistance to the Manager and the Board.

The convenor of a sub-committee is often (but not always) a member of the Deaf Australia Board. Other members of the sub-committee are ordinary and/or associate members of Deaf Australia. Sub-committees are appointed by the Board. Members of sub-committees are chosen for their knowledge, experience and interest in the particular issues that the sub-committee works on.

Deaf Australia has eight sub-committees, as listed below. The Deaf Australia President is an ex-officio member of all sub-committees.
